Invoice app for UK trades

The invoice app that gets trades paid.

TradeLinkers is an invoice app for UK tradespeople. Make the invoice on the job, or turn the accepted estimate into one, and email it as a PDF with your bank details, an optional scan-to-pay QR code and a Pay button. See when it is opened, record part payments, mark it paid or send a reminder in one tap.

14 days free, no card. Then £9.99 a month for everything.

What you get

Invoice app, the way a trade needs it

Numbered in order

INV-0001, INV-0002 and on, with the same numbering on your phone and on the web, so your accountant sees one clean sequence.

Your bank details on every invoice

Account name, sort code, account number and a payment reference are printed on the PDF, so customers know exactly how to pay you.

Scan to pay, with your own link

Add the pay link from your bank or card provider and a QR code and a Pay this invoice button appear. The money goes straight to you.

See when it has been opened

The invoice shows as Viewed once the customer opens the email. Replies come back to your own email address, not ours.

Part payments and deposits

Record each payment as it lands and the balance shows on the PDF. A deposit taken against the estimate comes off the invoice by itself.

Reminders in one tap

Still waiting? Press Send payment reminder and the customer gets a polite email. The dashboard shows what is outstanding and what is overdue.

How it works

Three steps

  1. Make it from the job

Start a new invoice, or tap Work done on the job to turn the accepted estimate into the invoice with the same lines.

  2. Send it as a PDF

Email it from the app with the PDF attached, or share the PDF on WhatsApp from your phone. The job moves to Awaiting Payment.

  3. Get paid and mark it

Mark it paid with how they paid: bank transfer, cash, card, cheque. The job moves to Paid. Not paid yet? Send a reminder.

Questions

Invoice app: questions trades ask

Can I send an invoice from my phone?

Yes. On the Android app you make the invoice, check the PDF and email it to the customer with the PDF attached, all from the job. You can also share the PDF through WhatsApp or any app on your phone. On an iPhone or a computer, use the web app.

Does the invoice add VAT?

Only if you tell it you are VAT registered and add your VAT number. Then you set the VAT rate for the invoice (20%, 5%, 0% or a custom rate) and your VAT number prints on it. If you are not registered, no VAT lines appear. Not sure? Read VAT for tradespeople.

Can my customers pay by card?

Not through TradeLinkers itself. Invoices carry your bank details. If your bank or card provider gives you a payment link, add it in settings and every invoice gets a scan-to-pay QR code and a Pay this invoice button in the email. The money never passes through TradeLinkers.

How are invoices numbered?

In order, starting at INV-0001, and the same rule applies whether you raise the invoice on your phone or on the web. Estimates have their own sequence, EST-0001 upwards. See what goes on an invoice.

Can I export my invoices for my accountant?

Yes. From the web app you can export invoices, jobs and customers as CSV files, which any accountant or bookkeeping software can read.

What does it cost?

14 days free with no card, then £9.99 a month for everything, with unlimited invoices. TradeLinkers never takes a cut of what you invoice. See pricing.

What it does not do yet

  • No card payments built in. Use your own pay link and the QR code instead.
  • Payment reminders are sent when you press the button, not automatically.
  • Your logo shows in the invoice email, not on the PDF itself.
  • No credit notes and no CIS deductions yet.
  • No direct sync with accounting software. Export CSV from the web app.

Try it on your next job.

14 days free, no card needed. After that it's £9.99 a month for everything, and you can cancel any time.
