Getting started
How do I get started?
Sign up with your email on the web or in the Android app from Google Play. Add your business name, your bank details for invoices and your VAT number if you have one, then add your first job. The first 14 days are free with no card.
Is there a contract or minimum term?
No. It is monthly, and you can cancel whenever you like in Settings on the web app.
Which trades is it for?
Any trade that books jobs, quotes and invoices. It was shaped with an electrical, plumbing and gas firm, and the job categories are Electrical, Plumbing, Gas and boilers, Air con and Other. See how it fits your trade.
Can I bring my customer list over?
Yes. In the web app you can import customers from a CSV file, which most spreadsheets and other systems can produce.
Phones, computers and signal
Which phones does it work on?
The app is on Google Play for Android 7.0 or newer. On an iPhone, iPad or computer you use the web app at tradelinkers.co.uk/tradesperson with the same account. How to add it to an iPhone Home Screen.
Is there an App Store app?
Not yet. iPhone and iPad users use the web app in Safari, added to the Home Screen so it opens like an app.
Does it work without signal?
The Android app does. Jobs, customers and invoices save on the phone and sync when you are back online. Sending emails and uploading files need a connection. The web app needs a connection.
Can I use it on a computer?
Yes. The web app has jobs, enquiries, customers, estimates, invoices, the calendar, team and settings, plus CSV import and export.
Jobs, quotes and invoices
Can customers accept my estimate online?
Yes. The estimate email has an Accept button. They type their name and tap Accept or Decline, with no login, and you get an email. More on estimates.
Can I take card payments?
Not built in. Invoices show your bank details. If your bank or card provider gives you a payment link, add it and invoices get a scan-to-pay QR code and a Pay button. The money goes straight to you.
Does it do VAT?
Yes, once you mark your business as VAT registered and add your VAT number. You choose the rate for the invoice: 20%, 5%, 0% or a custom rate. If you are not registered, no VAT appears.
Does it do CIS?
No, not yet. Invoices do not calculate CIS deductions.
Does it chase unpaid invoices for me?
It makes it one tap: Send payment reminder emails the customer, and the dashboard shows what is outstanding and overdue. Reminders are not sent automatically.
Do customers get text messages?
No. Customer updates, confirmations and reminders go by email. WhatsApp buttons open a chat with the customer on your phone.
Does it link to my accounting software?
There is no direct link. Export customers, jobs and invoices as CSV from the web app and import them into your accounting software, or send them to your accountant.
Can customers book themselves in?
They can send you the job through your booking link. It arrives as a New Enquiry with a push notification, and you choose the date and time.
Can my team use it?
Yes. Invite people by email; each gets their own login, a list of the jobs assigned to them and the team calendar. Team logins are included in the price.
Data, privacy and your account
Where is my data stored?
In a Supabase database in Stockholm, Sweden, inside the EEA. It is encrypted in transit and at rest. The privacy policy has the full list of services we use.
Do you sell my data?
No. We never sell your data or your customers' data.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. Export customers, jobs and invoices as CSV from the web app at any time.
How do I delete my account?
In the Android app go to Settings and choose Delete account, or see how to delete your account.
