Public liability: how much cover are you carrying, and has anyone ever claimed?

Everyone carries it. Almost nobody has read the exclusions.

What level are you on, roughly what is it costing, and has anyone here actually had to claim? Particularly interested in whether the claim went smoothly or whether the exclusions did the work the salesman never mentioned.
